Given that the outbreak will impact many communities that are already facing health and economic distress, Makatini Foundation will provide support to various communities in South Africa to lessen the hardship caused by the current lockdown in our country.
This support will include to keep people in-housed; help ensure children, seniors and families have access to food; and support healthcare workers on the front line. Makatini Foundation has committed to delivering food parcels to various under-privileged communities across the country.
MAKATINI FOUNDATION is committing itself to assisting Government in saving the lives of our people.
Makatini Foundation Vision
Makatini Foundation was established with the aim of encouraging support to underprivileged communities affected by various pandemics, including general support needed by our disadvantaged people in our community. We promote assistance and provide support services to orphanages who are permanent homes to many children and elderly homes. We deliver direct care and maximize opportunities that will benefit the less privileged by creating long term relationships with all stakeholders of our society.

Our commitment to improving society and the communities in which we live and work, has always been core to our values. That is why our approach to citizenship also prioritizes quality education and lifelong learning for all children in our communities. We believe that lifelong learning and education for all can help break the cycle of poverty and inspire the next generation of leaders- driving economic growth and prosperity in our generation and for generations to come.
Other Programs
Other Makatini Foundation programs are aimed at fighting prejudice and stigma-related violence. We create awareness and remind others of the need for their support to the children orphaned and families made vulnarable by HIV and Aids. We identify and support homes by providing food, uniforms, school fees and other necessities. It is our moral obligation to create networks of support to increase awareness about the virus and to educate the youth on HIV prevention, care and treatment. Makatini Foundation exists meaningfully to promote assistance in order to expand our programmes to all communities and promote assistance by introducing various programs addressing the most pressing needs .
